The Bondi Boys

I recently came back from my holiday in Devon, where I met the Bondi Rescue Lifeguards; Maxi, Reidy & Gonzo. I was following Reidy's blog the 'UK and Europe Trip 2011' & I am also following them on Twitter. I arrived in Devon a day early hoping to meet the Bondi Lifeguards and boy did i get lucky!!

I walked along Westwood Ho! with my Mum and Sister & this really lovely guy came over and asked if we wanted to meet the Bondi Lifeguards & ofcourse we said yes!!!
They were filiming something for the cbs channel & after they had finished filming, they came over to meet us.

They were lovely, down to earth guys who made us laugh :).....

Haa this made me laugh :)....
I said to Reidy, 'My mum loves you really, she's not just our driver!'
Obviously he loves her too......;)

It was an amazing day, my best holiday ever, by far!!
Thankyou Bondi boys.

Family birthday party photoshoot

Hi again, I recently did a photoshoot for my Cousin, twice removed. To be honest im not sure who she is to me, but shes family and i love her :)

Anyway it was her 60th Birthday a few weekends ago, and she asked me if i could take some shots of the family talking and having fun. I was a bit sceptical because i didnt know a lot of the people going but i thought, what the heck. Family is family.

Towards the end of the evening, when everyone settled down, i decided to take some natural shots. Here are a few..

The Three Musketeers!

Exchanging funny stories :)

The Birthday Girl (Right)!

As the evening came to a close...

Overall Im glad i did the photoshoot, it gave me a lot of experience & i met some family members i never even met before :)

Photoshop is pure genius.

Hello, this is my first post and im not sure what to write about apart from the fact that photography is my life.

I recently helped my Grandma with this old photo she had of her Mother, that had been creased and stained. She wanted to take it to a photography shop that can get the crease out. But i imagined it would cost a lot of money, so i offered to do it using the one and only photoshop!

This is what the photo looked like before....

I scanned this onto my computer and opened it with Photoshop. I used the 'Stamp' tool and the 'Healing Brush' tool to edit the scratched line and the impurities in the photo.
I used this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajdbygjrayY to help me with restoring the photo, it was very helpful and I would recomend Gavin Hoey's Photoshop videos to anyone who needs some help or tips.

So after 3 hours of working on the photo this is what it came out like...

I'm very proud with this, I think that it came out really well and the scratched line is hardly visible. The tea stain took a long time to get out, but i managed to erase it, and although it looks a bit fuzzy, I think its hardly noticeable.

So my Grandma got her photo fixed for absaloutley nothing, and thats down to the genius that is Photoshop.
